The Natural Birthing Center started in 2013 to give Texas moms more choices when it came to their delivery. The practice opened with the help of Sandra Tallbear, a registered nurse and certified midwife with over 30 years of experience. The center takes a unique, faith-based approach to its care. On top of checking on your progress and providing you with an education during their prenatal appointments, they will pray with you. No matter what you’re planning with your delivery, they’re here to support you.
Services
At The Natural Birthing Center, they believe birth is a natural part of life, not a health emergency! Starting in the beginning of your pregnancy, they will provide you with comprehensive prenatal care. You’ll get to know what to expect at your stage of pregnancy as well as how to feel your best. They will help you with nutrition and wellness guidance. They will also be there if you have any questions outside of your appointment.
The center gives you a cozy space where you can labor before you meet your baby for the first time. Sandra has been helping with water births since the beginning of her career. If you choose to use this natural form of pain management, she will support you and help you throughout. Following your baby’s birth, you’ll remain at the center for several hours so you can bond with your baby and initial feeding. After that, they release you to recover in your own home.

If you don’t want to deliver in The Natural Birthing Center, the team is still there for you! The center can provide you with total prenatal care before it’s time to labor in a hospital. If you would prefer, you can have them support you through every minute of your home birth. They will help you prepare your space before your due date and take care of the cleaning after your delivery so you can focus on your baby.
